Information

During the manufacturing process of solar PV battery storage, the characteristics of batteries such as available capacity, rated voltage and internal resistance will be different from each other.Moreover, this difference will gradually increase with the recycling of batteries, resulting in over-charging or over-discharge of batteries, reducing battery capacity and shortening battery life.It can be seen that the balanced charging technology of solar PV battery storage is very important. Currently, there are five main balancing methods:

(1) Trickle current balanced charging method: small current balanced charging is used at the later stage of charging, but the disadvantage is that the balanced speed of solar PV battery storage is slower;

(2) Resistance shunt equalization method: excessive energy is consumed by resistors connected in parallel to individual monomers, but the disadvantage is that solar PV battery storage generates energy loss and a certain amount of heat energy at the same time;

(3) Capacitance equalization method: make use of the energy storage characteristics of capacitors to transfer energy between batteries. The disadvantage is that switch back frequently consumes part of energy, while the equalization current flowing through capacitors is smaller and the equalization speed is slower.

(4) Inductance equalization method: the inductance is used as the energy storage medium to transfer the excess energy between the redistributed batteries. The insufficient inductance transfers the energy slowly, which makes it difficult to meet the requirements of fast battery charging.

(5) Transformer equalization method: Using the energy transfer characteristics of transformers, the energy transfer of single batteries connected on the secondary side is carried out. The disadvantage is that more single batteries will increase the difficulty of the secondary side design.The solar PV battery storage using this method is more difficult to produce and process.
